Review Policy

Welcome to the Review Policy page. While Rutendo Chichaya primarily reviews books personally selected at her own discretion, she is open to receiving book review requests from authors and publishers.

 

Rutendo Chichaya is primarily a single-reviewer blog, although guest reviewers may occasionally contribute. The blog currently accepts books written in English, Ndebele, and Shona, and is not restricted to any specific genre.

 

Review copies are accepted in eBook format (compatible with Kindle) as well as in physical format. Once a review request has been accepted and the review copy received, the publication timeline is typically between 3–8 weeks.

 

Expedited reviews may be considered by prior arrangement.

Reviews aim to provide objective commentary on the book’s primary themes, tone, plot, writing style, and overall impact. Where relevant, works may be compared to the author’s previous publications or to similar titles by contemporary writers.
